Condition guide
When considering a vehicle donation, it's important to assess its condition. Running vehicles are ideal, as they can often be sold at auction for considerable amounts. If your vehicle is not operational, that’s okay; we accept non-running vehicles, too! However, they may be sold for parts or recycled. A vehicle with a salvage title may also qualify, but we will need to evaluate it on a case-by-case basis. Always check that the vehicle's condition meets our program requirements before donating.Title status
| Title status | Accepted? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| clean title | yes | A clean title means your vehicle is easily transferable and in good standing for donation, maximizing its value for funding local programs. |
| salvage | with restrictions | Salvage titles require more scrutiny. We'll evaluate the vehicle's condition and potential for auction or recycling. |
| rebuilt/reconstructed | case-by-case | Rebuilt titles need special consideration. Please provide details to see if your vehicle meets our donation criteria. |
| lienholder present | case-by-case | If there's a lien on your vehicle, we will work with you to determine eligibility and how to proceed with the donation. |
| missing title | with restrictions | Missing titles complicate the donation process. We encourage you to resolve this issue before donating for a smoother experience. |
